We asked these two recognized and well-known photographers to share with us their impressions of the consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine in 2014 and 2022. The photos show sadness, longing, human losses, personal tragedies, but also hope, strength, idea and vision for future recovery of Ukrainian society and the state in a democratic environment.
And an incentive for Ukraine to join the EU and NATO. Following the example of Croatia.

Born 1968 in Zagreb, photography fascinated him from an early age and his first experiences the thrill of a black and white photographs. He was intensively involved in photography in various fields - from landscapes and fine art nudes to abstract photography. His works soon became noticed in the public and the media: his first solo exhibition of photographs "Music - it's them" was held on Christmas 2015 at the Vatroslav Lisinski Hall. Many awards received - from the award for "While Lanterns Fly in the Sky" to prestige Sony and Nikon global competition awards.

Serhii Korovayny is an editorial and portrait photographer based in Kyiv, Ukraine. He covers the Russian-Ukrainian war, Russian war crimes in Ukraine, environmental issues, the refugee crisis, healthcare topics, etc. Serhii worked with the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Financial Times, Time, The Guardia, Spiegel, The Economist, and Politico.
As a visual storyteller, he works with video and VR, collaborated with the Ukrainian VR production New Cave Media as an assistant director of Aftermath VR Euromaidan, a Google-supported immersive documentary project.
He received the Fulbright scholarship and made his Master's study in Visual Communications in the Newhouse School of Public communication in Syracuse, NY, USA (2017-2021). As his works were showcased at multiple personal and group exhibitions worldwide, he is a member of The Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers (UAPP).
