Europe’s Security at Stake - Zagreb Security Forum (ZSF)
The Zagreb Security Forum become a most important forum with substance for experts, and researchers meeting from numerous EU and NATO member/partner and allies’ states offering new models of facing those emerging security challenges. Zagreb Security Forum has a tradition of positive results in recognizing, identifying, and combating malicious influence operations conducted by Russian and pro-Russian supporters in SEE and Western Balkan states. Over the past several years, hybrid warfare has become the greatest security challenge. Hybrid warfare presents a wide range of new challenges to our democracies. Those emerging challenges should be addressed by flexible strategies, combining primarily political, cyber, information, media, social, academic domains using whole-of-society and comprehensive defense approach. Those activities need to be understood on the preventive level using historical models and new scientific academic research and results concerning the influence of different social networks against different target audiences. Special attention must be given to the prevention of negative, malicious, influence on election/referendum campaigns in EU/NATO member and partner states that are intended to maliciously shape the public knowledge/perception/political discourse according to the adversaries' expectations.
